The Sri Vaishnava community has two major philosophical sub-schools: (Northern school) and Tenkalai (Southern school). They generally follow the same Prayoga , but with minor variations in the Sankalpa mantras and the order of certain rituals. The community is also divided based on the Veda they follow.
