Find a post’s FBID
Your Facebook ID—often called FBID or user ID—is a unique numeric identifier assigned to every Facebook profile, page, group, or app. While your username (like @yourname) is easier to remember, many developer tools, ad managers, and third‑party apps require the actual numeric FBID.
If your profile URL is a custom username (e.g., ://facebook.com ), you can use a lookup tool to convert it. Go to your Facebook profile and copy your URL.
This is widely considered the fastest method for individual users.
If you manage a business or community page, you can find its ID directly within the Facebook interface: Switch into the Page you want to check. Click on the Page's name to view the profile.
If you search for profile_owner and don't find it, you might be on a "Timeline" page that loads dynamically. Try refreshing the page source after scrolling down a bit, or use the container_ID search term first, as it is often located higher in the code.
Facebook uses usernames (like ://facebook.com ) to make URLs human-readable. However, behind the scenes, the system only recognizes numerical IDs. You might need an FBID to:
