This approach unfortunately does not work either. Unlike some older or more common GPUs that can fall back to a basic VESA-compatible framebuffer when drivers are missing, the UHD 770 cannot produce any usable video signal in macOS. As one community member with an i9-13900K discovered, even forcing unaccelerated operation with -igfxvesa had no impact — the system simply would not output video from the iGPU port.

UHD 770 is NOT fully supported in any macOS version. Apple never used Alder Lake/Raptor Lake CPUs. The iGPU has no native driver and no amount of patching enables full acceleration (Metal/QE/CI). uhd 770 hackintosh

Even compute-only operation would require driver support for GPU compute frameworks like Metal or OpenCL. No such support exists.

Use UHD 770 only for (handbrake encode) while dGPU drives displays. This public link is valid for 7 days

But what about running macOS on such hardware? Can you use the UHD 770 in a Hackintosh build?

| Component | Part | Notes | |---|---|---| | CPU | Intel i7-12700K | CPU works perfectly; iGPU disabled | | GPU | AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT | Requires Monterey 12.1+ | | Motherboard | Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite AX DDR4 | Proven compatibility | | RAM | 32GB (2×16GB) DDR4-3200 | | | SSD | Samsung 980 Pro 1TB NVMe | | | Power Supply | 750W 80+ Gold | | Can’t copy the link right now

The most reliable way to build a Hackintosh with an Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, or Refresh CPU is to bypass the UHD 770 entirely by using a compatible graphics card. Highly Compatible: AMD Radeon RX 400 , 5000, and 6000 series (specifically Go to product viewer dialog for this item. Go to product viewer dialog for this item. As of 2026, the standard method for 12th-14th Gen systems is to use OpenCore to fake the UHD 770 as UHD 630 (Coffee Lake) to gain acceleration. Key Requirements

Since the iGPU is unusable for display or acceleration, users building Hackintoshes with 12th-14th Gen Intel CPUs must rely on alternative hardware paths. Dedicated GPU (dGPU) Requirement: To get a functional system, you use a compatible AMD graphics card. Recommended:

✅ + UHD 770 for compute ❌ Avoid iGPU-only on Alder Lake/Raptor Lake
